JOSEPHINE Decanter – Brilliant
Handmade Brilliant decanter | Designed by Kurt Josef Zalto
Inspired by the shape of a brilliant, the mouth-blown Brilliant Decanter presents your wines elegantly and stylishly.
With its minimalist design and delicate structure, the Brilliant Decanter elicits the last tasteful secret from top wines. The decanter optimizes aeration, ensuring every flavor note is drawn from the wine. In addition to the characteristic bend of the JOSEPHINE collection, the bottom of the decanter slopes into a cone. This defining design element ensures a spiral-shaped swirl that rapidly enriches wine with oxygen as soon as it is poured. The depth of the cone creates an unprecedented ease of control and stability when pouring.
The shape and lightness of the decanter allow for elegant pouring with just one hand.
JOSEPHINE Decanter – Brilliant
Designed by Kurt Josef Zalto in 2022, mouth-blown and handmade in Europe – every single decanter is unique.
This decanter is designed for 0.75 l wine bottles.
Height 23 cm, diameter 19 cm, volume 2300ml
Due to its size, this decanter is perfect for young (up to approx. 10 years old), complex, full-bodied red wines or premium, young white and rosé wines that become more harmonious as they breathe. (The producer or merchant you trust will be happy to help you with a recommendation). Mature red wines that have already formed a sediment due to storage should be decanted carefully and, if necessary, with the help of a light source.
To clean your JOSEPHINE decanter properly, we recommend that you rinse it thoroughly after each use, first with hot and then with cold water, and leave it to drain upside down on a stand. If small residues remain in the decanter, they can be removed with a long, flexible sponge brush and hot water. If the brush reaches all the spots, the use of detergents can be avoided. In principle, the dishwasher is also possible, provided the decanter stands securely and a glass-only programme is used. A soft linen cloth is ideal for polishing your decanter.
